Candidates who have been given a seat at any of the National Law University (NLU) must exercise any of the 'Freeze', 'Float', or 'Exit' options in a counselling round. The candidates must use the 'Freeze' option to save the seat allotted to them in NLU.
CLAT 2024 Counselling: The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) will close the registration process for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2024 tomorrow; i.e. January 12. All those candidates who have been invited to the admission counselling process must note that they can register by tomorrow 10 pm. Candidates must pay CLAT 2024 counselling fees. Candidates who belong to the general category have to pay INR 30,000, while students from the reserved category have to pay INR 20,000.
Candidates who have been given a seat at any of the National Law University (NLU) must exercise any of the 'Freeze', 'Float', or 'Exit' options in a counselling round. The candidates must use the 'Freeze' option to save the seat allotted to them in NLU. However, these candidates will not be allowed to further participate in any rounds of seat allocation or counselling process. All those candidates who are not happy with the seat allotted to them, and want to look for the possibility of getting a higher preference NLU seat they may opt for the 'Float' Option.
Candidates who choose the 'Exit' option will not be allotted any seat. A candidate may elect to 'Exit' the admissions counselling process at any point after finishing the registration procedure if they decide they do not wish to continue in the counselling process. A candidate's assigned seat will be redistributed and the confirmation fee will be forfeited if they select the "Float" or "Freeze" options prior to the "Exit" option.
139 exam locations across the country hosted the offline CLAT 2024 exam on December 3. This year's UG CLAT 2024 exam was taken by about 97 per cent of the registered students. More than 60 connected law schools and 23 national law universities will accept the CLAT 2024 results.
