CLAT 2025: Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Law University Prayagraj to offer admission based on CLAT Score

CLAT 2025: The Consortium of NLUs has announced that Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Law University Prayagraj (RPNLUP) will offer admission to law courses for the academic year 2025-26 based on Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025. Candidates must note that admission will be offered in both CLAT UG and PG courses through CLAT score 2025. It must be noted that currently CLAT Application Process 2025 is underway. CLAT Registration 2025 will end on October 15, 2024. With this, the number of participating universities in CLAT 2025 has increased to 25. Earlier, it was 24 National Law Universities (NLUs) that were participating. The total number of seats offered by RPNLUP is 60.

In a statement, the Consortium announced that "Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Law University, Prayagraj wrote to the Consortium of NLUs and requested to accept the admissions to RPNLU, Prayagraj from Common Law Admission Test (‘’CLAT’’) from the Academic Year 2025-26. The Executive Committee of the Consortium of NLUs met and approved Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Law University, Prayagraj request in it meeting held (Online) on Septemebr 13, 2024.  Candidates registered for the CLAT 2025 are requested to note that RPNLU, Prayagraj is accepting applications for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes commencing in the Academic Year 2025-26."

Candidates may update their reservations by following the steps given below:  

  • Login to your CLAT account 
  • Click on the ‘Edit Application Form’ button 
  • Go to the ‘Reservations’ tab. 
  • Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Law University (RPNLUP), Prayagraj will now be listed at the end of the Reservations page
  • Choose the categories for which you are eligible and click on the Submit button
  • In the home page, click on the Print application button and review the reservations for which you have applied for each of the NLUs.

Q:   How many seats are available for admission through CLAT 2025?

A:

At the moment, there are a total of 24 NLUs that are participating institutes of CLAT 2025. The seat intake for all the courses offered at NLUs has been revised as under:
For the five-year LL.B. - The integrated law programme is offered by all the 24 NLUs, with the seat intake standing at 3,213 seats. For the one-year LL. M. - The programme is offered by 21 NLUs, which have a combined intake of 1,217 seats. In 2021, total 4,009 seats were available, out of which 3,012 seats are available for UG courses and 997 seats are available for PG course admissions. Q:   How many seats are offered by National Law Universities through CLAT?

A:

CLAT Exam is conducted to fill 3,213 seats in undergraduate courses and 1,217 in PG courses. These number doesn't include sponsored, supernumerary, NRI, and extra seats. The admission to 24 NLUs is done on the basis of the CLAT score and the cutoff. Candidates must note that the admission to any of the NLUs will not be done without CLAT score.

Q:   How many universities/colleges accept CLAT score?

A:

Around the country, there are 60 public and private colleges, 22 NLUs, and 60 CLAT universities that accept CLAT results. The Consortium of NLUs and these CLAT Colleges have an agreement in place that allows the applicants to be accepted based just on their rank. Candidates who are looking forward to taking admission through CUET must note that in all the subjects, candidates will be evaluated on their reading skills, critical thinking and analytical ability.
