CLAT 2025: The Consortium of NLUs will conduct the CLAT Exam 2025 tomorrow; i.e. December 1, 2024. The Consortium has now released the important code of conduct for CLAT Exam. Candidates must note that CLAT Exam will be held in pen-and-paper mode. Candidates taking the CLAT 2025 exam must strictly adhere to the dress code and exam day instructions set by the CNLUs. 

CLAT 2025 Exam: Important Guidelines to Follow

Candidates can check the code of conduct released by Consortium below:

  • Strict Prohibition of Unauthorised Materials: Carrying unauthorized materials such as notes, written papers, or electronic devices into the exam hall is strictly prohibited.
  • Avoid Communication: Any form of communication with other candidates, including verbal exchanges, gestures, or passing notes, is considered a violation of the rules.
  • No Mobile Phones or Smart Devices: Mobile phones, smartwatches, or any other electronic devices capable of storing or transmitting information are not permitted in the exam hall unless explicitly allowed.
  • Follow Instructions from Exam Supervisors: Candidates must comply with all instructions from the invigilators or exam supervisors promptly and without argument.
  • No Proxy or Impersonation:   Taking the exam on behalf of another candidate or allowing someone else to take the exam for you is a serious offense.
  • Do Not Tamper with Question Booklets: Candidates must not alter, tear, mark, or annotate the question booklet in any unauthorized manner. While underlining passages is allowed, do not underline, mark, tick, or circle answers in the booklet.
  • Report Errors Timely: If there are any errors in the question booklet (such as missing or blank pages) or the OMR sheet, inform the invigilator immediately.
  • No Late Entry or Early Exit Without Permission: Entering the exam hall after the designated time or leaving before the allotted time without prior permission is a breach of the exam guidelines.
  • Exceptions for PWD Candidates: Special accommodations may be provided to candidates with disabilities (PWD). If any privileges are denied, the candidate should contact the Centre Superintendent or Observers from the Regional Centres.
  • Report Suspected Cheating: If you observe any instances of cheating or unfair practices, report them to the invigilator immediately. Safeguard the integrity of the exam process to avoid consequences for yourself.

Note: Violating these guidelines can result in serious penalties, including disqualification, cancellation of the exam, or even criminal charges. Always maintain honesty and integrity throughout the examination.

Q:   Will CLAT be held twice in 2025?

A:

In 2022, CLAT exam was held twice, I. e. on June 19 as CLAT 2022, and on December 18, 2022 as CLAT 2023. However, from 2024 onwards, CLAT exam is to be conducted once in a year only, as confirmed by the exam officials in the latest notification. Earlier, CLAT exam was conducted in May or June, but from 2024 onwards the entrance exam will be conducted in December (of preceding year to the admission year) itself for concluding admissions on time. Therefore, CLAT counselling process will be completed by May of each academic year.

Q:   What is CLAT 2025 Exam Date?

A:

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has announced that CLAT 2025 Exam Date is December 1. The CLAT Application Process 2025 is likely to begin on July 7, 2024. The CLAT 2025 Exam timing is 2 pm to 4 pm. The Common Law Admission Test 2025 will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode. The CLAT 2025 Exam will be held in offline mode. 

Q:   Are calculators allowed in CLAT Exam?

A:

Calculators are not allowed in the CLAT exam. However, students are provided the virtual calculator during the exam which can be used to solving lengthy calculations. The virtual calculator is made available on the computer screen during the test and candidates can use it by clicking on the calculator link. Candidates are advised to practice solving numerical questions on their own as using virtual calculators can take much time
