The objective is to develop an overall understanding of the past, so that these issues can be further studied in detail to improve the present legal system, to be able to understand its use and application for further research for the students interested in the subject, to prepare the young generation of India to be free from the myths the West had propagated in the past, to obtain freedom from the misunderstandings created by the Mischief of Orientalism, to be able to be proud of our past, by appreciating what our Sages had passed on to the future citizens, says GNLU's statement.
