In memory of the late Rupinder Singh Suri, Senior Advocate, Additional Solicitor General of India and former President, SCBA, the Haldia Law College set up a 'Memorial Moot Court Hall'.

Haldia Law College is one of the top 15 leading law colleges in India. It is an institution of the Indian Centre for Advancement of Research and Education (ICARE) and is affiliated to the Vidyasagar University, West Bengal and approved by the Bar Council of India.

The college has unveiled a state-of-the-art Memorial Moot Court Hall to commemorate the remarkable contributions of the Late Rupinder Singh Suri, Senior Advocate, Additional Solicitor General of Indi and former President, as reported by Live Law.

The moot court hall was inaugurated by his wife and Managing Partner of Suri & Company Law Firm Gurvinder Suri and the program was presided by the Chairman of the Law College Dr Lakshman Chandra Seth.

This tribute serves as a testament to Suri's unwavering commitment to the field of law and his lasting impact on the legal community. The establishment of this hall not only preserves his legacy but also provides a remarkable platform for future legal minds to hone their skills and uphold the principles he so fervently championed.

Late Rupinder Singh Suri is known for his exceptional legal acumen and his passion for justice and he was a towering figure in the Indian legal system. He established Suri & Company Law Firm in 1984 and was designated a Senior Advocate in 2009 by the Supreme Court of India as a recognition of his expertise in constitutional matters. 

Subsequently, he was appointed the Additional Solicitor General of India, and in his tenure he made significant contributions in representing the government in various critical cases, leaving an indelible mark on the legal landscape of the country.
