While the country is preparing to 'unlock' from COVID-19 lockdown according to government guidelines, on the other hand, the infected cases continue to rise across India. Therefore, the consortium seeks feedback from the candidates who will be taking the exam this year. Through this survey, the consortium will consider the choice of taking the examination in any of the given modes as per the majority.
The official notification released by CLAT Consortium stated, 'The Consortium of NLUs is exploring student preferences for CLAT 2020. This is for planning purpose only and is not a representation of the final formats of the exam. Log in to your account and click the Take Survey button to complete the survey before 11:59 PM on Friday, 12th June.'
This survey has 3 choices as under:

- Online proctored exam at nearest NLU
Once the candidates, select the preference they need to submit it there itself. Moreover, candidates would be able to change their exam centre preferences soon after the application process is completed on July 1. CLAT 2020 will be conducted in July tentatively and, the consortium will confirm the exam date at least 15 days beforehand.
The notification on the survey read:
"In the extraordinary circumstances arising out of the COVID 19 pandemic, we are keen to find out your preferred option for the exam to be conducted in July. This is for planning and is not a representation of the final formats of the exam. You will be permitted to formally change your centre preference at a later date. Please indicate your first, second and third preference"
