Can non-Maharashtra residents apply for MH CET Law?

Yes, non-Maharashtra residents can apply for the MH CET Law exam, but there are specific eligibility criteria based on the type of seats (All India seats vs. Maharashtra State seats) and the candidate's category. Here's a breakdown of the important points:

    • Eligibility for Non-Maharashtra Residents:
         - Non-Maharashtra residents are eligible to apply for MH CET Law under the All India category.
         - These candidates can apply for law programs (5-year integrated LLB or 3-year LLB) in various law colleges in Maharashtra, but they will be considered for All India seats rather than Maharashtra State seats.
    • Maharashtra State Seats: Maharashtra residents (those who meet specific domicile criteria) are eligible for Maharashtra State seats, which are reserved for candidates from the state. Non-residents of Maharashtra cannot apply for the Maharashtra State quota, which has separate eligibility rules and may offer reservations for candidates from the state.
    • Application Process: Non-Maharashtra residents will have to follow the general application process for MH CET Law and can appear for the exam. They should select the All India category when filling out the application form. In case of admission to law colleges under the All India category, they will be considered for available seats under this quota.
