Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) Mumbai has notified that it has deferred the BBA LLB (Hons) programmed for the Academic Year 2022-23. Hence, only BA LLB (Hons) will be offered for the Academic Year 2022-23 at the undergraduate level.

Revised seat matrix for BA LLB, LLM AY 2022-23

The total intake via CLAT 2022 to the undergraduate BA LLB (Hons) programme is 100 students and for LLM is 50 students. All these are subject to Maharashtra State Reservation Norms as approved by the Executive Council. 

Supernumerary seats for BA LLB (Hons) - 2 seats for permanent residents of J&K in accordance with the UGC directives each for BA LLB (Hons) Programme and 20 for Foreign National/NRI/NRI sponsored category for BA LLB (Hons).

The official notification says, "LLM will be offered in three specializations i.e. Corporate and Commercial Laws, Constitutional and Administrative Laws and Maritime Laws. Each specialization for LLM shall have a minimum of 10 candidates and a maximum of 30 candidates. Accordingly, the seat allocation shall depend upon merit, preference and availability of seats for that specialization."

LLM Supernumerary seats - 10 for Foreign National/NRI/NRI sponsored category and 2 for permanent residents of J&K.

Horizontal reservations are:

  • 30% for women across all categories. 
  • 5% seats for Specially Abled Persons (SAP). Certificate of Disability issued by Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India needed.
  • 5% seats of the total sanctioned intake for an institute, shall be reserved for wards of Ex-Servicemen/ Defence Personnel. Ex Servicemen / Defence Personnel Certificate from the respective department Unit/Dept/HQ/Records/RSWO/Army/Navy/Air Force HQ is required.
