In the NIRF Rankings 2023 announced today, National Law School of India University (NLSIU) again bagged the first position followed by National Law University Delhi and Nalsar University of Law Hyderabad. 

NIRF Ranking 2023: NLSIU Bangalore maintains top position in Law category

The Minister of State for Education and External Affairs Rajkumar Ranjan Singh announced the NIRF Rankings 2023 today, June 5, 2023. In the law category, the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bengaluru maintained its topmost position.

NIRF Rankings 2023 is based on the parameters of 0f Teaching, Learning & Resources, Research and Professional Practice, Graduation Outcomes, Outreach and Inclusivity, and Perception.

Teaching, Learning & Resources includes Student Strength includes Doctoral Students (SS), Faculty-student ratio with emphasis on permanent faculty (FSR), the Combined metric for Faculty with PhD (or equivalent) and Experience (FQE), and Financial Resources and their Utilisation (FRU). The Research and Professional Practice (RP) parameter includes a Combined metric for Publications (PU), the Combined metric for Quality of Publications (QP), IPR and Patents: Published and Granted (IPR), and Footprint of Projects and Professional Practice (FPPP).

The Graduation Outcomes parameter includes Metric for University Examinations (GUE) and Metric for Number of Ph.D. Students Graduated (GPHD).

Outreach and Inclusivity (OI) includes Percentage of Students from Other States/Countries (Region Diversity RD), Percentage of Women (Women Diversity WD), Economically and Socially Challenged Students (ESCS), Facilities for Physically Challenged Students (PCS), and Perception (PR) Ranking. Peer Perception comprises Academic Peers and Employers (PR).
