NLSIU to conduct 2nd NLSAT-LLB Live Information Session on March 24

Only candidates who have completed the registration process (i.e. those who have completed the payment for the NLSAT-LLB) will be eligible to attend the information session. Candidates who have already completed their registration may log in to the admissions portal (admissions.nls.ac.in) and click on the webinar link to register for the information session.

NLSIU to conduct 2nd NLSAT-LLB Live Information Session on March 24

NLSIU will be conducting a second live information session on the LL.B. (Hons.) Programme on March 24, 2023, from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. This online information session will provide information on preparing for the NLSAT – LLB and the test pattern. Faculty will also solve sample questions during the session.

If anyone is planning to appear for the NLSAT–LLB, they must register before attending the event as only the candidates who have successfully completed the registration process (i.e. those who have completed the payment for the NLSAT-LLB) will be eligible to attend the information session. Candidates who have already completed their registration may log in to the admissions portal (admissions.nls.ac.in) and click on the webinar link to register for the information session.

NLSAT-LLB Live Information Session: Speakers' details

Dr. Mrinal Satish, Dean (Academics) and Professor of Law, NLSIU: Mrinal’s area of interest and specialization is criminal law. His research interests include sentencing, gender and the law, medical jurisprudence, empirical analysis of law, reproductive justice, excessive undertrial and pre-trial detention, and studying the impact of the criminal justice system in its interface with vulnerable and disempowered groups.

His doctoral dissertation examined sentencing policy and practice, with a special focus on rape sentencing in India. Mrinal was awarded the Inlaks scholarship for pursuing his LL.M degree at Yale Law School. He was also awarded the Madhu Bhasin Noble Student Award (2001) and the Mahatma Gandhi National Law Teaching Fellowship (2002) by NLSIU.

Ms. Sanyukta Chowdhury, Assistant Professor of Law, NLSIU: Sanyukta has experience of over a decade in the tax practice of multi-national consulting firms such as Deloitte, KPMG and Ernst & Young. She has also conducted training sessions for Indian tax authorities as well as chambers of commerce on indirect tax matters. As a tax practitioner, she has advised her clients on complex issues of application and interpretation of indirect tax laws as well as tax structuring. She has represented her clients before tax authorities in relation to dispute resolution.
