NLU Delhi: Dr Ruhi Paul assumes charge as Registrar

Professor (Dr.) Ruhi Paul has assumed charge as Registrar of National Law University Delhi.

National Law University Delhi has notified that Professor (Dr.) Ruhi Paul has assumed charge as Registrar with effect from September 18, 2023. 

NLUD tweet reads, "We are very glad to announce that Professor (Dr.) Ruhi Paul has assumed charge as Registrar, @NLUDofficial. We congratulate Professor Paul on her new role and look forward to her tenure."

Professor Paul has been associated with the University since its inception in 2008. Over the years, she has been an integral part of the University and has held multiple academic and administrative positions. We are confident that the University will continue to flourish under her able guidance and supervision, said the official statement.

On the concluding day of the Business, Mining and Sustainability Workshop, the team went on a field trip to the Aravalli, Biodiversity Park which is a restoration effort by the Delhi Development Authority on an abandoned 693-acre mine site. 

The park aims to restore the native biodiversity that the site once sustained. Today, it provides an ideal setting for vanishing native flora and fauna and serves as a laboratory for students and researchers to explore and learn complex ecological principles.  

The Business, Mining and Sustainability Workshop brought together industry experts and academicians from India and the UK for a discussion on sustainability in mining operations focusing on regulatory interventions, existing policy gaps and international best practices. 

The Workshop was held in partnership with @UniofExeter, @SOAS and @TataSteelLtd Mining with the support of the @BritishCouncil's Industry-Academia.Collaborative Grant.
