NLU Tripura invites applications for BA LLB Hons, LLM 2022

The newly established NLU Tripura has invited online applications on the basis of CLAT- 2022 score for admission to the five years integrated BA LLB (Hons), and one-year Master of Laws (LLM) programmes for the Academic Year 2022-23.

National Law University Tripura was established by Act 3 of 2022 of the Tripura Legislature. The law university has invited online applications from eligible CLAT 2022 qualified candidates for admission to 60 seats of five years integrated BA LLB (Hons) and 25 seats of one-year Master of Laws (LLM) programmes for the Academic Year 2022-23.

The last date to send the application by email is October 22, 2022.

Filled in application form should be emailed to the Registrar, National Law University Tripura registrarnlut@gmail.com with proof of payment of the application fee of INR 1,000 deposited in favour of Registrar, National Law University, Tripura. A list of provisionally selected candidates will be prepared and displayed on the Tripura Judicial Academy website on October 24, 2022.

The Orientation and classes are likely to begin in the first week of November 2022 at the Tripura Judicial Academy. For any updates please visit the Academy website regularly, no separate communication will be made to the candidates, said the official notification.

Eligibility Criteria

For BA LLB (Hons), the candidates must have passed the Class 12 exams or equivalent exam with a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST category) and a valid CLAT Score of CLAT Test 2022. 

The one-year LLM programme is the PG program with a Specialization in Constitutional Law and eligibility is LLB or equivalent law degree with 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST category) and a valid CLAT score of CLAT Test 2022. Reservation to SC/ST shall be as per Tripura Govt. 2.5% of seats shall be reserved horizontally for Specially Abled Persons (SAP), added the official notification.
