NLU Tripura, the newly established law college included in the list of NLUs in India this year only, will not be participating in CLAT 2023 counselling. Read notification here.
The National Law University, Tripura has informed Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) that it will not be conducting admission process through CLAT 2023 counselling process. Therefore, the consortium will remove it from the preferences of candidates (if selected) for CLAT 2023 counseling and seat allotment process.
CLAT Consortium informed all the candidates via official notification stating, "The National Law University, Tripura (“NLU, Tripura”) has informed the Consortium of National Law Universities that it shall not participate in the Admissions Counselling Process for Academic Year 2023-24.
Hence, all candidates participating in the Admissions Counselling Process for the Common Law Admission Test, 2023 are hereby informed that NLU, Tripura shall be removed from the preferences indicated by candidates."
The news has come after NLU Tripura informed that all the admissions done through CLAT 2022 stands cancelled and admission fees will be refunded to all those who paid it, in an notification dated December 19, 2022.
The reason for not participating in CLAT 2023 counselling process or cancelling admissions via CLAT 2022 has not been shared by the NLU Tripura. The newly established law college has seat intake as under:

Now, all candidates who selected the law college as one of their preferences will have to correct their preferences form once again.
