The LUTA has written a letter to the chief minister in which it has requested to add the employees in the scheme that has been launched for all government employees and pensioners.
Lucknow University Teachers’ Association (LUTA) has urged the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to include the varsity's employees in the recently announced cashless medical facilities. The LUTA has written a letter to the chief minister in which it has requested to add the employees in the scheme that has been launched for all government employees and pensioners.
Earlier this week, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced cashless medical facilities to state employees and pensioners. The state government has started the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay State Employees Cashless Medical Scheme and for this, the state cabinet on January 1 had approved the proposal for amendment in the Uttar Pradesh Government Servants Rules 2016.
The scheme was announced by the Chief Minister and it will help about 28 lakh state employees and pensioners to get the facility of cashless treatment. The state health department had sent a proposal to the government for this cashless scheme recently. Under the proposal, the state government employees will be given a cashless treatment facility in line with that of private companies.
Until now, the state employees were eligible to get free medical treatment only in government hospitals, medical colleges or authorized contract hospitals. But from now onwards, the employees will be able to avail the facility of cashless treatment in private hospitals too. Under this, the employee will not have to pay the bill of treatment in cash and the card will be given by the state government. So now on the employees will be able to avail the medical facility hassle-free.
