Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has postponed Maharashtra Class 12 Board Exam 2022 for some papers after the truck transporting question papers caught fire in Ahmednagar district.
Maharashtra HSC Board Exam 2022 Postponed: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has postponed exams for some papers a day after a truck transporting question papers was gutted in a fire in Ahmednagar district. Maharashtra Class 12 Board Exam 2022 for second and third language papers which were earlier scheduled to be held on March 5 and March 7 will now be conducted on April 5 and April 7, 2022.
As per the notification released on the official website, Hindi, Japanese, German, Chinese and Persian language exams were scheduled to be held on March 5, while on March 7, exams for Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Sindhi, Malayalam, Tamil, Arabic, Telugu, Punjabi, Bengali, Urdu, French, Spanish and Pali were supposed to be held. Exams for these papers are now rescheduled.
A truck transporting Maharashtra HSC board exams 2022 question paper sets for various subjects from Madhya Pradesh to Maharashtra caught fire in Ahmednagar district and were up in flames Wednesday morning. The question papers were being transported for the Pune division of the board. A police official said that the boxes containing question papers were destroyed in the blaze.
"The truck that caught fire was transporting papers of exams which were to be held on March 5 and 7, and since the confidentiality of these papers has been compromised, we have decided to reschedule these exams. As per the protocol, these papers will have to be reset and reprinted for all nine divisions," MSBSHSE chairperson Sharad Gosavi told the media.
Mr Gosavi also added, “Exams, which were scheduled on March 5, will take place on April 5 and those scheduled on March 7, will take place on April 7”.
However, Maharashtra HSC or Class 12 final exams will commence as per the previously announced schedule on March 4 and second and third language papers will be conducted as per the new schedule. The Maharashtra board has decided the
