BIMTECH invites applications for PhD Equivalent Fellow Programmes in Management; Apply by Feb 23

BIMTECH Admission 2025: The Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) has announced the commencement of applications for its Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Equivalent Fellow Programmes in Management (FPM/EFPM) for the session 2025. This AICTE and Association of Indian Universities (AIU)-approved programme is designed to nurture research-oriented scholars who will contribute to fields like academia, industry, and consultancy. The deadline to submit applications is February 23, 2025.

Programme Structure and Specializations

The FPM/EFPM programme at BIMTECH is a comprehensive four-year course designed to equip students with advanced knowledge in various aspects of management. The programme includes subjects such as:

• Finance, Insurance and Risk Management
• Operations and Decision Sciences
• Strategy, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship
• Sustainability and CSR
• Business Communication, Economics, Marketing
• Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources

This diverse curriculum ensures that students gain a well-rounded understanding of management while preparing them for leadership roles in research, teaching, and industry.

Eligibility Criteria for FPM/EFPM

To apply for the FPM/EFPM programmes at BIMTECH, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Educational Qualification: Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in engineering and technology, management, economics, social science, commerce, or humanities with at least 60% marks or an equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA) recognized by the AICTE or AIU.
• Chartered Accountancy (CA), Company Secretary (CS), or Cost and Works Accountancy (ICWA): Candidates holding CA, CS, or ICWA qualifications must have a minimum of 50% marks along with a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree.
• Five-year Integrated Master’s Degree: Candidates with an integrated master's degree in relevant fields must have secured at least 60% marks.
• EFPM Candidates: Applicants for the EFPM must have a minimum of five years of managerial, executive, or teaching experience, and the maximum age limit for EFPM candidates is 50 years as of March 31, 2025.
• FPM Candidates: The maximum age limit for FPM candidates is 45 years as of March 31, 2025.

Scholarship Opportunities for FPM Candidates

BIMTECH offers several scholarships to assist students financially during their doctoral studies:

• First Year: INR 45,000
• Second Year: INR 50,000
• Third and Fourth Year: INR 55,000

Additionally, candidates holding a University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test Junior Research Fellowship (UGC-NET JRF) or a Common Admission Test (CAT) score of 90 percentile and above are eligible for higher scholarships. These candidates will receive:

• INR 50,000 in the first year
• INR 55,000 in the second year
• INR 60,000 in the third and fourth years

Furthermore, the FPM programme offers a one-time research grant of up to INR 1,80,000 for doctoral consortiums and conferences.
