BIMTECH welcomes 480 students for 37th Commencement Day

This year’s enrollment at BIMTECH reflects a balanced gender distribution and a national appeal, with students joining from various regions including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi NCR, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Punjab, as well as Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Assam.

The Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) has launched its new academic session 2024-26, welcoming 480 students across four prestigious two-year full-time programs: PGDM, PGDM (International Business), PGDM (Insurance Business Management), and PGDM (Retail Management). The 37th “Deeksharambh” ceremony, a hallmark of BIMTECH’s traditions, featured esteemed dignitaries including Chief Guest Dr Abhishek Tiwary, Guest of Honour Major General Rajesh Kumar Jha (Retd.), and Dr Prabina Rajib, Director of BIMTECH.

Dr Prabina Rajib, Director of BIMTECH, expressed pride in welcoming a diverse and ambitious group of students, highlighting the institute’s commitment to preparing future business leaders equipped with technological proficiency and creative adaptability. She emphasized recent curriculum enhancements, including a strong focus on experiential learning, and strategic partnerships such as a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Singapore University and discussions with a US-based company to establish a Blockchain Center of Excellence and collaborate with Bloomberg on a Finance Lab.

Words of Wisdom and Guidance

Dr Abhishek Tiwary, in his address to the new batch, advised students to prioritize core skills, embrace technology, and cultivate a mindset for asking quality questions. He encouraged them to step out of their comfort zones, build networks, and balance professional growth with self-care, urging them to be bold, curious, and proactive change-makers.

Major General Rajesh Kumar Jha shared insights on leadership, stressing the importance of authenticity, resilience in the face of challenges, and the significance of humility and gratitude towards family contributions. He inspired students to embrace every experience as a learning opportunity and to cultivate strong character traits essential for effective leadership.
