The CAT 2015 results are finally out. Candidates can check their CAT 2015 results here!
A total of 179602 candidates have appeared for CAT 2015 exam. Out if this, 58270 candidates were women and 67590 non-engineers on November 29, 2015.
The total registration in CAT 2015 exam was 218664, which means about 15% candidates did not appear for the exam. The total ratio of girl candidates has gone up to 33%. Meanwhile 41 transgender candidates appeared for the exam.
Last year, 167,829 test takers had appeared for the CAT exam. Which means, about 11773 more aspirants appeared for the test this year.
Furthermore, 883 DA/PWD candidates have appeared for CAT 2015.
More number of non-Engineers
In a significant improvement, 67590 candidates appeared from non-engineering background. This year, the IIMs are targeting a diverse classroom, both in terms of gender diversity and academic diversity.

CAT 2015 Exam
CAT 2015 was conducted on November 29 over two slots by IIM Ahmedabad. TCS was the test taking agency. According to CAT 2015 analysis, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) section was the most difficult section of the exam. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) and Quantitative Aptitude (QA) sections were comparatively easy.
CAT 2015 question paper had three main sections – VARC, DILR, QA.
