CAT 2015 Important Dates

The important dates of CAT 2015 has been declared. Authorities havce releases CAT 2015 Notification.

This year, CAT exam will be conducted on November 29, 2015 by IIM Ahmedabad. The institute had also conducted the first ever online CAT examination in 2009.

CAT 2015 will be a computer-based test. It will be held on a single day, spread over two sessions.

This time, CAT authorities are addressing the issue of diversity in MBA classroom. Currently, the exam leans towards candidates from engineering background. All this is may change drastically with CAT 2015.

Candidates have to attempt 100 questions in 180 minutes. There are three sections:

• Quantitative Aptitude (QA)
• Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR)
• Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC)

Each section has been alloted 60 minutes.

Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS) will continue to be the test-taking agency. TCS has previously conducted the exams like GATE, JEE, AIPMT, JIPMER-MBBS etc.

CAT scores are used for admission to 21 IIMs and many other B-schools across the country. In 2013, 1,96,988 candidates had registered for the exam while 1,67,830 candidates appeared for the test.
