CAT 2022: Dress Code, Documents and Items to Carry on Exam Day

CAT 2022 exam will be held in Computer Based Test mode at designated test centres. Candidates will be required to take the test at the allotted exam centre. To ensure smooth and fair examination, the CAT authorities will enforce certain regulations at the test centres. There will be certain guidelines to be followed by the CAT test centre staff as well as candidates to ensure there is no cheating or other malpractices during the exam.

For free and fair CAT examination, CCTV monitoring of all the exam centres and test labs will be done. According to the CAT 2022 test day guide issued by the exam authorities earlier this month, here are some of the important guidelines for the exam. These include documents and items to carry on the CAT exam day; items not to carry on exam day and dress code.

CAT 2022: Documents to Carry

During the identification process, candidates will have to present certain documents to the CAT 2022 exam centre staff to be allowed to take the test. Given below is the list of documents:

• Two print outs of the CAT admit card 2022
• COVID-19 self-declaration form attached with the admit card
• Original copy of the photo ID card issued by the Government of India:
  • PAN card
  • Driving License
  • Voter ID
  • Passport
  • Aadhaar Card (With photograph)
  • E-Aadhaar
  • Ration Card
  • Identification Affidavit
• PwD certificate duly attested by a competent authority
• Scribe certificate duly attested by a competent authority
• Name change certificate duly attested by a competent authority
• Authorisation form (for carrying medicines, eatables, etc.) duly attested by a competent authority

CAT 2022: Items to Carry

Candidates need not carry anything apart from documents. Pen for signing the attendance sheet and rough work will be provided at the test centre. Since the CAT 2022 is being held with COVID-19 protocols, candidates need to carry only the following items:

• Facemask
• Hand sanitizer in a transparent bottle

CAT 2022: Items Not to Carry

There will be strict checking for the following items at the entry and none of the items will be permitted inside the CAT test centre premises. Thus, candidates must not carry the follow:

• Phone, wrist watch, calculator or any electronic item
• Pen and other stationary
• Books, note books
• Loose papers
• Bag or purse
• Eatables (only allowed upon permission in case of any medical condition)
• Water bottle
• Jewellery
• Metal items in clothes/accessories

CAT 2022: Dress Code

• Candidates must no wear closed shoes. Open footwear and sandals will be allowed inside the test lab.
• Candidates must not wear jackets with hoodies and pockets
• Pullovers and cardigans without pockets are allowed
• Candidates must not wear caps, hats, scarves or any form of headgear
