CAT 2023 exam is only 5 days away. Those who will be appearing for the exam need to be fully prepared for the day. The CAT exam will be held in three slots and for every slot there will be a proper identification process. Candidates will be permitted to enter the CAT test centre only if they present the relevant documents for verification.
About 3.3 lakh candidates are going to appear for the CAT exam 2023 at over 400 test centres across India. Each and every candidate will have to go through the identification process at their allotted exam centres. The identification process is undertaken to disallow imposters to enter the centre. Here we tell you documents mandatory for candidate identification at the CAT 2023 test centre.
Documents to Carry on CAT 2023 Exam Day
Every CAT 2023 aspirant must note that they need to carry hardcopies of the following documents. Digital copy will not be accepted as valid.
CAT 2023 Admit Card: Two color print outs of the CAT admit card 2023 will be required on the exam day. Candidates must take out two prints and affix a recent passport size photo on each (preferably the one uploaded with CAT 2023 application form). Do not sign the admit card beforehand. It is to be done when asked by the exam centre officials.
Photo Identity Proof: You must carry the original copy of your photo ID proof issued by the Government of India. You can carry Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID card, Passport or Driving License. Carry the ID proof which has the same name as on your admit card.
Name Change Document: If you have changed your name for any reason and the same doesn’t reflect on your photo ID proof. Then you must carry the Name Change Affidavit duly attested by a competent authority.
Medical Certificate and Scribe Affidavit: PwD candidates must carry medical certificates and scribe certificates (proforma available at iimcat website), if they need to avail special provisions under PwD category. Other candidates suffering from diabetes, etc. are also suggested to carry medical certificate attest by a competent authority.
