CAT 2023 Final Answer Key Released; 2 Objections Accepted

CAT 2023 final answer key has been released today along with CAT result 2023. Two questions were found to be erroneous. IIM Lucknow has released detailed explanation regarding the same. Check below.

Along with the CAT 2023 result, IIM Lucknow released the final answer key. As per the final CAT 2023 answer key, two questions have been revised. One question from VARC section of Shift 2 was found incorrect and one question from DILR section of shift 1 has two correct options.

The official notification released post the declaration of CAT result 2023 said, “After the conduct of the CAT on November 26, 2023, the Objection Management Exercise was opened during December 5, 2023 to December 8, 2023.

The CAT Centre received a total of 85 objections across 3 sections and 3 shifts. The panels of sectional review experts for CAT 2023 reviewed all the objections which were received during this window."

Decision: Officially released answer key: 4321 was found to be incorrect.

Revised Correct Answer Key: 4312

Those candidates who have entered 4312 as their answer were awarded +3 marks and all others awarded 0 marks. This being SA Type question, there was no negative marking.

DILR Shift 1 Question: No of objections: 20

• Correct Option Marks: 3
• Wrong Option Marks: -1

Decision:Apart from the officially released answer key (Option ID: 48916840863 (answer: B1)), one more Option (Option ID: 48916840864 (Answer: D2)) is a correct answer. + 3 marks were awarded to all those candidates who have marked either of these two options as their answer. The remaining candidates awarded -1 mark for choosing the wrong option & 0 marks for leaving the question unattempted.
