The inaugural ceremony set the stage for the new academic session, promising rigorous academic training, industry exposure, and opportunities for personal and professional growth for the students enrolled in the MBA programmes.

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) commenced its two-year flagship MBA (International Business) and MBA (Business Analytics) programmes for the academic session 2024-26 with an inaugural ceremony. The event was attended by students, parents, faculty members, and staff of the institute.

Inaugural Ceremony Highlights

The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by Sunil Barthwal, Chief Guest and Secretary of the Department of Commerce, Government of India, who inaugurated the programmes. In his address, Barthwal congratulated the incoming batches on their enrollment in these prestigious programs. He emphasized the pivotal roles of international business and business analytics in the global economy, highlighting their contributions to economic growth, job creation, and innovation.

Vision @2047 and Leadership

Speaking on India's demographic dividend, Barthwal urged students to leverage technology and entrepreneurial skills to emerge as leaders in emerging sectors related to services and trade. He called upon them to contribute towards realizing the vision for India's development by 2047.

Professor Rakesh Mohan Joshi, Vice Chancellor of IIFT, welcomed the incoming students and emphasized the importance of hard work and contemporary managerial skills for success in corporate life.
