IIM Ahmedabad PGPx Placements 2024: 121 Students get job offers

This year’s placement saw active participation from 105 companies, marking a significant milestone for the program. A total of 121 students from the IIMA PGPX 2024 batch received and accepted job offers, highlighting the program's strong industry reputation.

IIM Ahmedabad Placements 2024: The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has successfully concluded the final placement process for its one-year MBA program (PGPX) at the end of June 2024. This year’s placement saw active participation from 105 companies, marking a significant milestone for the program. A total of 121 students from the IIMA PGPX 2024 batch received and accepted job offers, highlighting the program's strong industry reputation.

New Recruiters and High Demand

A notable aspect of this year’s placement process was the involvement of 67 new organizations that participated for the first time. This influx of new recruiters underscores the growing popularity and robust reputation of the PGPX program. Despite economic challenges, the placement statistics reflect the consistent confidence of the industry in IIMA’s program.

Student Choices and Placement Insights

Out of the 147 eligible students, 21 opted out of the placement process. The reasons included 7 students being company-sponsored or already employed, 3 pursuing entrepreneurship, 2 joining or returning to a family business, and 9 seeking opportunities outside the campus placement process.

Leadership Roles and Sector-wise Recruitment

IIMA PGPX graduates were highly sought after for leadership and senior management roles both in India and internationally. Positions offered included Chief Product Officer, Vice President, Associate Director, and Program Head, among others. The largest share of placements came from consulting firms, accounting for 35% of the offers. Other notable sectors included Information Technology (IT) Services, BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance), and healthcare, with recruitment shares of 18%, 11%, and 10%, respectively.

- Automotive: 4 offers

- Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI): 13 offers

- Consulting: 26 offers

- Energy: 7 offers

- FMCG: 4 offers

- IT Consulting: 16 offers

- IT Software: 8 offers

- IT Solutions: 14 offers (including 2 international)

- Manufacturing: 6 offers
