IIM Calcutta conducted the CAT 2024 exam in three slots today. Most of the candidates found the exam to be comparatively easier than previous years. This has led to predictions of a significant rise in the CAT cutoff, causing anxiety among test-takers about their chances of securing admission to top MBA programs at IIMs.

Given the anticipation of rise in the CAT 2024 cutoffs, many candidates are exploring alternative routes for MBA admissions. One of the prominent alternatives is the NMAT exam, which is accepted by several tier-1 business schools, including NMIMS, SPJIMR, and K J Somaiya.

However, the registration window for NMAT 2024 closed on October 13. Candidates who did not register by this date are not eligible to take the exam in the current session. Despite this, there is still hope for those who missed the deadline. In recent years, GMAC, the conducting body of NMAT, has opened a registration window in January for candidates who have not yet taken all three NMAT attempts or who did not register earlier.
