The Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) has announced two significant collaborations with prominent U S institutions, enhancing its international educational network. Through newly signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Babson College in Massachusetts and the University of Houston in Texas, IIM Indore is reinforcing its connections with key American universities. These partnerships highlight IIM Indore’s dedication to strengthening India-U.S. relations and fostering opportunities for academic exchange and joint research.
Partnership with Babson College
The MoU with Babson College, celebrated for its leadership in entrepreneurial education, was formalized by Professor Himanshu Rai, Director of IIM Indore, and Professor D.R. Widder, Vice President of Innovation at Babson College. Professor Rai remarked, "Partnering with Babson College is a landmark achievement for us. Their global reputation in entrepreneurial education aligns seamlessly with our vision of equipping future leaders with advanced skills. This collaboration will enable us to co-host entrepreneurship boot camps, youth programs, and executive education initiatives, offering invaluable opportunities for both students and faculty. New Collaboration with the University of Houston
Additionally, IIM Indore has signed an MoU with the University of Houston. Professor Himanshu Rai and Professor Diane Z Chase, Senior Vice Chancellor and Provost at the University of Houston, formalized this agreement. Professor Rai highlighted the significance of this collaboration, stating, "Our partnership with the University of Houston is a significant step in strengthening our ties and those between our countries. This collaboration will enhance our international programs and provide exceptional growth opportunities for our students and faculty. It aligns with our shared missions of innovation and global engagement."
Professor Chase emphasized the potential of this partnership, saying, "We are excited to partner with IIM Indore. Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore, also known as IIM-I is the sixth IIM established under the IIM legacy. IIM Indore has been ranked 8 under the Management category by the NIRF Ranking 2024. It is one of the prominent public B-schools in India with autonomous status. IIM Indore offers great placement opportunities. The highest and average package offered during IIM Indore placements 2023 stood at INR 1.14 crore per annum and INR 30.21 LPA, respectively. This institute is known for its two-year, full-time, residential flagship PGP (also referred to as MBA) programme, admission to which is offered based on a valid score in CAT. The percentile of CAT for IIM Indore reached up to 98 percentile in the past years which shows how rigorous it is for a student to get admission to this institute.

Launched by IIM Indore in 2011, the five-year Integrated Program in Management (IPM) is the first of its kind in India. Theprogrammehas been accredited by the Association of MBAs, AMBA London (4th and 5th Year).
This five-year managementprogrammeis a combination of both undergraduate (BBA) and postgraduate (MBA).

Q: What is credit system for BBA at IIM Indore?
IIM Indore BBA follows a credit system. The concept of credit is used to compute the workload of the course. As a general rule, four-credit course requires a committement of 100 hours from the participant of which 25 hours are to be spent in the classroom (usually 20 sessions of 75 minutes each) and the balance to be utilised for preparation and assignments. The courses carry one, two, three or four-credits.

These new collaborations mark a significant milestone for IIM Indore, expanding its network of U.S. partnerships to seven. Previous MoUs include agreements with Cleveland State University, Rutgers University, the Arizona Board of Regents for Arizona State University, the University of Denver, and the University of North Texas.
