The placements, which began on November 25, have shown impressive growth, with several new recruiters joining the roster and attractive salary packages for students.

Among the 78 companies participating, 20 were new recruiters, showcasing IIM Mumbai’s growing reputation and diverse industry engagement. The highest salary offer was an impressive INR 54 lakh per annum, extended by Microsoft, highlighting the value placed on IIM Mumbai graduates.

For the top performers, the salary statistics are equally outstanding:

• Top 10% of the batch received an average CTC (Cost to Company) of INR 48 lakh.
• The top 20% saw an average of INR 43.5 lakh.
• The top 50% were offered an average salary of INR 35 lakh.

These figures indicate strong demand for IIM Mumbai graduates across various sectors, with significant salary growth from previous years.

IIM Mumbai Placements 2025: Accenture Leads as the Largest Recruiter

Accenture emerged as the largest recruiter during this phase, making 41 offers, nearly double the number from the previous year. The company offered consultancy roles with an attractive salary of INR 37 lakh per year. The significant increase in Accenture's hiring numbers highlights the growing interest in IIM Mumbai graduates for high-profile consultancy roles.

IIM Mumbai Placements 2025: Traditional Recruiters show Strong Participation

Traditional sectors such as operations and supply chain management continued to be significant contributors to the placement season, with several companies in these fields also offering numerous roles. This broad industry participation further solidified the comprehensive training provided at IIM Mumbai, preparing students for diverse career paths.

IIM Mumbai Placements 2025: Impressive Summer Internship Offers for the Batch of 2026

In addition to the placements for the 2025 batch, summer internships for the Batch of 2026 also saw impressive numbers. 128 companies offered internships to 425 students, with an average stipend of INR 3 lakh for two months. The highest stipend offered was INR 5 lakh by Coca-Cola, setting a benchmark for internships in the business field.

For the top performers in the internship placements:

• The top 10% received an average stipend of INR 5 lakh.
• The top 20% had an average of INR 4.5 lakh.
• The top 50% earned an average stipend of INR 3.75 lakh.

These figures reflect the growing demand for IIM Mumbai students even in early-stage internship roles, where companies are keen to secure top talent for future leadership positions.

Reflecting on the successful placement season, Neeraj Pandey, Chairperson of Placement and Branding at IIM Mumbai, expressed optimism about the future. "The first phase of placement, which began on November 25, is over. Things are looking up as the market is recovering. We got many more offers compared to last year. All the candidates with work experience, as well as some freshers, have been placed. The remainder will have another round in January."

This upbeat outlook suggests that the remainder of the placement season will continue to offer promising opportunities for IIM Mumbai students, with another round of placements scheduled for January.
