IIM Raipur announces Two Development Programs for Aspiring Entrepreneurs & MSME Owners

IIM Raipur development programs aim to foster entrepreneurship and business growth among aspiring candidates and MSME owners. Interested individuals can apply for either the “Advanced E-SDP for New Venture Creation” or the “6-Day Advanced MDP for Business Scale-Up for MSMEs”. 

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur, in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Program (ESDP) Division, MSME, is excited to announce the launch of two targeted and comprehensive development programs. The programs aim to foster entrepreneurship and business growth among aspiring candidates and MSME owners. Interested individuals can apply for either the “Advanced E-SDP for New Venture Creation” or the “6-Day Advanced MDP for Business Scale-Up for MSMEs”. The application deadline for both programs is January 12, 2025.

Tailored Programs to Boost Entrepreneurship and MSME Growth

Prof. Ram Kumar Kakani, Director of IIM Raipur, emphasized the institution's commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. He stated, "At IIM Raipur, we are dedicated to sustaining the entrepreneurial spirit and empowering MSMEs through tailored programs that propel innovation, resilience, and growth. Targeting SC/ST communities, these programs aim to nurture a culture of entrepreneurship, contributing to India's vision of becoming a global economic powerhouse, Viksit Bharat 2047."

Key Program Details and Dates

Both programs, funded by the ESDP, MSME, are free of cost, with no participant fees required:

• Advanced E-SDP for New Venture Creation: Running from February 3 to February 7, 2025, this 5-day program is designed for aspiring entrepreneurs looking to turn innovative ideas into successful businesses.
• 6-Day Advanced MDP for Business Scale-Up for MSMEs: Held from February 3 to 8th February 8, 2025, this program is tailored for MSME owners and managers aiming to scale their businesses.

Both programs are offline and open to individuals aged 18 years and above with a graduation degree. Special emphasis is given to applicants from Chhattisgarh, with candidates from SC, ST, OBC, Women, and PH categories strongly encouraged to apply.

Advanced E-SDP for New Venture Creation

This 5-day program is ideal for aspiring entrepreneurs looking to turn their business ideas into reality. It covers essential topics such as:

• Entrepreneurial Marketing
• Financing and Leadership
• Operational Efficiency
• Legal Aspects of Business

Participants will gain in-depth knowledge on starting a new venture, identifying opportunities, establishing a professional management structure, and learning about turnkey opportunities in various industries. The course also includes insights on corporate governance for new businesses, helping participants navigate the complexities of entrepreneurship.

Advanced MDP for Business Scale-Up for MSMEs

The 6-day program for MSME owners and managers is designed to help businesses expand and scale efficiently. Key focus areas of the program include:

• Opportunity Identification and Entrepreneurial Marketing
• Securing Finance for Growth
• Building Scalable Business Models
• Establishing Global Ventures
• Challenges of Family Businesses

Participants will receive a comprehensive roadmap to upscale their businesses, addressing the unique challenges of growth and ensuring sustainability.

Application and Selection Process

The programs are open to graduates from across India, with a special focus on participants from Chhattisgarh. Applications will be reviewed based on ESDP Guidelines. After shortlisting, selected candidates may be invited for further interaction. The results will be declared, and selected participants will receive formal admission confirmation.
