IIM Raipur, EFLU partner to Translate Teaching Cases into Foreign Languages

This collaboration entails translating these IIM's teaching cases into Chinese, Arabic, French, and Spanish languages, leveraging EFLU's expertise in translation and interpretation.

The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Tarnaka campus, has partnered with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Raipur, to broaden the global accessibility of IIM's teaching cases. This collaboration entails translating these cases into Chinese, Arabic, French, and Spanish languages, leveraging EFLU's expertise in translation and interpretation.

Signing of the MoU

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) formalizing this collaboration was signed at a special event held at the EFLU campus. The ceremony was graced by Professor Ram Kumar Kakani, Director of IIM Raipur, and Professor Surabhi Bharati, Acting Vice Chancellor of EFLU.

Internationalizing Teaching Cases

Speaking at the event, Professor Ram Kumar Kakani emphasized the strategic importance of the MoU in internationalizing IIM Raipur's extensive repository of teaching cases. He highlighted how translating these cases into multiple foreign languages would enhance their global reach and impact.

Expanding Collaboration

In response, Professor Surabhi Bharati, Acting Vice Chancellor of EFLU, expressed eagerness to expand the scope of collaboration beyond translation services. She proposed exploring opportunities for student and faculty exchanges, as well as developing courses focusing on foreign languages, communication skills, and cultural studies.

Event Details and Coordination

The event witnessed the presence of key dignitaries including Professor K Narasimha Rao, Registrar (in-charge), academic Deans, and senior administrators from both institutions. The Centre for Translation and Interpretation at EFL University played a pivotal role in coordinating the event and facilitating discussions under the MoU.

The collaboration between EFLU and IIM Raipur marks a significant step towards enhancing educational cooperation and international engagement. By translating IIM Raipur's teaching cases into major global languages, the partnership aims to enrich academic resources and foster greater cross-cultural understanding among students and scholars worldwide.
