Designed to enhance leadership capabilities among officials in marketing, sales, and execution, the programme aims to deepen participants' understanding of executive responsibilities and foster decision-making skills in uncertain situations. It also promotes innovative thinking and effective task management, crucial for young professionals.

The Indian Institute of Management Raipur (IIM Raipur) recently launched an immersive Leadership Development Programme (LDP) in partnership with the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) for its early career officers. The first phase of this intensive 14-day training program took place at the Naya Raipur campus in Chhattisgarh.

Inauguration Ceremony

The programme was inaugurated by Professor Pradumna Dash, Dean of Academics at IIM Raipur, alongside key IOCL officials, including V Srinivasa Prasad, DGM In-charge of Learning and Development, Pratik Talukdar, CM (L&D), and Brajesh Jha, Sr Manager (L&D) HO. Programme Directors included Professor Sumeet Gupta, Professor Pradumna Dash, Professor Damini Saini, and Professor Ram Kumar Kakani, Director of IIM Raipur.

Programme Objectives

Designed to enhance leadership capabilities among officials in marketing, sales, and execution, the programme aims to deepen participants' understanding of executive responsibilities and foster decision-making skills in uncertain situations. It also promotes innovative thinking and effective task management, crucial for young professionals.

Commitment to Development

V Srinivasa Prasad expressed IOCL's strong commitment to the Leadership Development Programme, stating, “Investing in the development of our early career officers is essential for the continued success and growth of our organization.” This commitment was further demonstrated by visits from IOCL dignitaries, including Jagdeep Kumar Rana, ED (RS), Awadhesh Kumar Mishra, GM (HR), and Goutam Dutta, CGM (HR), who interacted with participants during the programme.

Engaging Training Experience

Throughout the two-week programme, participants engaged in intensive training sessions, yoga, and sports activities, culminating on July 13, 2024. This comprehensive initiative successfully fostered leadership development among the officers.
