The Indian Institute of Management Rohtak (IIM Rohtak) successfully hosted its annual management summit on September 14, 2024. Titled “Leveraging Digital Innovation: Enhancing Business Agility and Performance,” the summit was aimed at equipping students with the insights needed to excel in the digital era. The event saw participation from over 20 esteemed industry leaders and was attended by more than 350 students.

Finance 4.0: Steering Through Technological Disruptions
This panel explored the digital transformation within the financial services sector. Panelists discussed how big data, real-time analytics, and proactive decision-making are transitioning financial services from a traditional support function to a strategic enabler. They also highlighted challenges such as risk aversion and selecting appropriate digital tools.
HR’s Role in Digital Transformation: Guiding Organizational Change
The second panel focused on the evolving role of HR in the digital age. Discussions centered on overcoming challenges posed by digitalization, with recommendations including reasoning from first principles, maintaining constant communication, and embracing a mindset of continuous learning.
Tech-Driven Recruitment: New Strategies for a Changing Workforce
Building on the previous discussion, this panel addressed how the COVID-19 pandemic has reshaped recruitment practices. The panelists emphasized the importance of viewing work as an activity rather than a location and the role of new recruitment technologies, such as ATS, psychometric tests, gamification, and AI, in reducing bias and enhancing diversity.
Omni-Channel Marketing: Creating Seamless Customer Experiences in the Digital Age
The final panel discussed the necessity for marketers to abandon outdated assumptions about customer behavior and leverage data for better customer insights. The panelists stressed the need for effective segmentation and aligning innovative products with internal needs to improve customer experiences.
