The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Sirmaur, has partnered with Samagra Shiksha to train heads of 200 schools under the School Leadership Development Programme. This landmark agreement marks a significant step in enhancing educational leadership in the state.

A Samagra Shiksha spokesperson highlighted that this is the first time in Himachal Pradesh's history that educators will receive training from a premier institution like IIM. Samagra Shiksha Director Rajesh Sharma emphasized the alignment of this initiative with the state governmentâs budget announcements aimed at professional development for teachers. Both Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Education Minister Rohit Thakur have endorsed this program, anticipating that it will significantly improve the quality of education in the region.
