K J Somaiya Institute of Management welcomes Diverse Cohort for 2024-26 MBA Program

Under the theme of ‘Transforming, Together,’ KJSIM is dedicated to nurturing individuals into value-based and purpose-driven leaders poised to contribute to societal betterment.

K J Somaiya Institute of Management (KJSIM) has welcomed 623 aspiring leaders to its 2024-26 batch of MBA, MBA Healthcare Management, and MBA Sports Management programs. This marks the 5th batch of MBA programs under Somaiya Vidyavihar University, drawing students from across India.

Under the theme of ‘Transforming, Together,’ KJSIM is dedicated to nurturing individuals into value-based and purpose-driven leaders poised to contribute to societal betterment.

Leadership and Vision

Dr Raman Ramachandran, Director & Dean of KJSIM, highlighted the institute’s commitment to fostering transformative journeys for students. He emphasized the development of human capabilities critical for success, complemented by a unique student progression index to measure holistic performance beyond traditional academic metrics.

Diverse Student Profile

The 2024-26 cohort comprises 58% male and 42% female students from diverse educational backgrounds. The batch includes 30% engineers, 28% from commerce, 20% from management, with additional representation from arts, science, medical, and other streams. Notably, 47% of students bring prior work experience to enrich classroom discussions.

Merit Scholarship and Induction Program

During the ceremony, four students were awarded full merit scholarships for academic excellence and exceptional achievements in sports, arts, or community service. These students are expected to inspire their peers and faculty alike throughout their academic journey.

The incoming batch will undergo a comprehensive 1-week induction program featuring modules on case analysis, certifications, start-ups, social media etiquette, yoga, fitness through dance, and more. This program sets the transformative tone for their MBA experience at KJSIM.
