The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the admit cards for the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) for MBA and MCA courses. The exams are scheduled to be conducted on August 4. Originally, the exams were planned for July 13 for ME/MTech courses and July 14 for MBA and MCA courses. However, the dates were postponed due to a clash with semester exams.

In a press note released later after postponement, KEA announced the revised date for the MBA and MCA exams. As per the revised timeline, KEA had scheduled the MBA/MCA exam for August 4.

After the publication of revised timeline, Candidates who had applied for MBA and MCA courses expressed concerns about the semester exams scheduled for August 5, which could affect their focus on the PGCET exam. Additionally, concerns were raised about the UPSC CAPF exam scheduled on the same day. Despite these concerns, the release of Karnataka PGCET admit card has confirmed that the exam date for MBA and MCA courses will remain August 4.

The exam dates for ME/MTech courses were not released in the press release. PGCET exam dates for MTech courses are awaited. KEA officials have assured that the new dates will be published soon on the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea.

Yes, KEA has released the Karnataka PGCET exam schedule on its official website. Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) releases the Karnataka PGCET exam dates along with the event schedule. KEA conducted the Karnataka PGCET 2023 exam for admission to MBA/MCA, MTech, and March courses offered by colleges in Karnataka. The exam was conducted on September 23 for Engineering courses and on September 24 for MBA and MCA courses. Candidates could download the answer key soon after the exam was conducted.

The golden rule of all speed-based test is time management and this is applicable for Karnataka PGCET 2023 exam as well. In order to master skills of managing time for the test, practice Karnataka PGCET question papers multiple times as well as any available online test on MBA exam question paper. Do not just practice, keep an eye on the time taken to solve the question paper. On the exam day if you know all the answer but cannot manage the time you will end up completing a fraction of the test paper. Your aim should, therefore, be to answer a maximum number of questions accurate within less duration.

Q:   Can I carry a calculator for PGCET exams for MBA?

A:

No, you cannot carry a calculator for the Karnataka PGCET exam. Besides canculators, candidates must not carry any of the below mentioned items to the exam centre:

  • Mobile phones
  • Pagers
  • Smartwatches
  • Pen-drive
  • or any other electronic gadgets

Candidates found in possession of any of the above mentioned item will get their candidature disqualified from participating in the admission process. Candidates must only carry a hard copy of the Karnataka PGCET admit card on the exam day along with a valid photo ID proof. Failing this, applicants will face denial in entry to the exam hall.
