The MBA institute has stated that some of the recent articles have misinformation claiming MDI Gurgaon offers admissions via management quota/payment seats. “We strongly deny this and clarify no such provision exists at our institution,” reads MDI Gurgaon statement.

Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon has issued a clarification stating that the misinformation has been circulating regarding the admissions process at the institution. "It has come to our attention that several articles and web pages have incorrectly stated that MDI Gurgaon offers admissions through a management quota/payment seat etc. We categorically deny this false claim/information and wish to reiterate that no such provision exists at our esteemed institution," reads a statement by MDI Gurgaon.

It further states that MDI Gurgaon holds its commitment to a merit-based admission process in the highest regard and strictly maintains that admissions to all our programs, including the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), are solely based on candidates' merit.

MDI Gurgaon's Established Selection Criteria

The institute in its statement has stated: "Our selection process is rigorous and transparent, and it is aimed at identifying the most promising candidates who exhibit a strong academic foundation, diverse skill sets, and leadership potential. Admission to our programs is granted based on candidates' performance in the Common Admission Test (CAT). However, for NRI Candidates - MDI Gurgaon also considers the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)."

In addition, candidates must go through a two-phase process that includes shortlisting and a final GD-PI process conducted across various cities in India. Each application is meticulously evaluated as per the established criteria to ensure fairness and integrity in our admission process.

"We strongly recommend that all aspirants visit the official MDI Gurgaon website or refer to our official admission documents for accurate information about the admissions process, eligibility criteria, and other related queries," it reads.
