Medhavi Skills University, ISGJ collaborate to launch BBA & MBA in Jewelry Design & Manufacturing

This collaboration between Medhavi Skills University (MSU) and the International School of Gems and Jewellery aims to address the pressing skill gap in the industry by launching BBA and MBA courses in Jewelry Design & Manufacturing (JD&M).

To enhance skill-based higher education in the gems and jewelry sector, Medhavi Skills University (MSU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International School of Gems and Jewellery (ISGJ) in Surat. This collaboration aims to address the pressing skill gap in the industry by launching BBA and MBA courses in Jewelry Design & Manufacturing (JD&M).

Industry-Aligned Courses with Practical Experience

The new courses, embedded with the Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programme (AEDP), are designed to provide students with comprehensive industry knowledge and hands-on expertise. This innovative educational approach aims to bridge the gap between traditional craftsmanship and modern industry demands, preparing students to thrive in the evolving jewelry design and manufacturing landscape.

Key Stakeholders in Attendance

The MoU was officially signed by Kuldip Sarma, Co-Founder & Pro-Chancellor of MSU, and Kalpesh Desai, Founder & CEO of ISGJ, with other prominent figures present, including Sajeev Kumar S, Vice President of Industry Relations at MSU, and Riddhi Vachhani, Academic Director at ISGJ. Following the signing ceremony, attendees participated in an insightful industry visit, showcasing the latest advancements in the gems and jewelry manufacturing process.

Kuldip Sarma emphasized the importance of this partnership, noting, “With a workforce of 4.6 million, the gems and jewelry sector is a key contributor to India’s GDP.
