Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad, is set to close the MICAT registration window tomorrow, November 22. The registration window for the MICAT exam is open until 11:50 PM. Candidates aspiring for PGDM admissions at MICA must fill the MICAT exam application form before the deadline. MICA may not extend the MICAT registration window further.
All candidates completing the MICAT exam registration before the deadline will be issued the admit card on December 4. As per the MICAT exam dates, phase 1 of the exam will be held on December 7.
The institute will facilitate the window for the second phase of the MICAT exam from November 25 to January 11. MICAT II exam is scheduled to be administered on January 25. MICA will consider the best of two scores for PGDM admissions to the 2025-27 batch of the course.
Prerequisites of Filling MICAT Exam Form 2025
Candidates filling the MICAT application form must meet the eligibility criteria set by the institute. Prerequisites of filling the MICAT 2025 exam form are as follows:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institute.
- Candidates must have appeared for any of the following MBA entrance exam:
- CAT 2024
- XAT 2025
- GMAT (2023 onwards)
Candidates who are in the final year of the bachelor’s degree programme are also eligible to fill the MICAT exam form.
MICAT Exam Fees 2025
Candidates filling the MICAT exam form are required to pay the application fee of INR 2,100. The MICAT registration fee is payable to submit the application form. Candidates planning to take the MICAT exam in both phases have to pay the application fees twice before submitting the exam form.

Q: Is MICAT compulsory for MICA?
Yes, candidates seeking admission to PGP (PGDM/ PGDM-C) course at MICA must qualify for MICAT. Based on the MICAT scores along with the scores obtained in national-level entrance exams such as CAT, XAT and GMAT, the institute shortlists candidates for the next round. MICAT is conducted mainly to choose the right candidate for the course. It’s a complete Computer Based Test (CBT) conducted twice a year in two phases. MICAT registration for the academic year 2024-24 has started. Candidates can apply online on the official website.
Q: Can I get into MICA with 70 percentile?
MICA admissions are through a layered filtering process comprising of CAT/ XAT /GMAT performance followed by the performance in MICAT written exam and finally the GE and PI performance. The step 1 of MICA admissions is Psychometric test. This section is a qualifier. followed by the Step 2, which is for the candidates who qualify through Psychometric test, their relative performance on CAT /XAT/ GMAT is considered.
A minimum cutoff of the best of the three scores is considered of CAT /XAT total percentile or GMAT score. The next step is the MICAT exam followed by the GE and PI. However, CAT/ XAT/ GMAT percentile/ scores make up only the 20 per cent of the total weightage of the final composite score.
Q: Is MICAT 2024 registration open?
Yes. Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad, has commenced the MICAT registration in September. Candidates aspiring for MICA PGP admission can apply for MICAT-I exam until November 20. However, the registration window for MICAT II is being facilitated from November 23 to January 17, as per the extended deadline. Candidates can apply for either or both of the MICAT exam phases. MICAT 2024 will aid the PGDM and PGDM-C admissions in MICA for 2024-26 admission batch.
