GMAC has started the NMAT retake registration for all candidates who took the first attempt for the exam. Candidates can apply for NMAT retake exam until December 17.

NMAT Retake Registration 2024

NMAT Retake Registration Starts at mba.com; Last Date to Apply for Retake is December 17

The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has facilitated the NMAT retake registration window on its official website, mba.com. Candidates who have already taken the NMAT exam can now apply for a retake. The last date to register for the NMAT retake is December 17, 2024.

Along with the retake registration window, GMAC has also enabled the facility for NMAT exam scheduling of the retake attempt. Candidates can log into their NMAT dashboard and select their preferred test date, and exam venue for the retake.

Eligibility Criteria for NMAT Retake Exam 2024

  • Successful Attempts: Candidates who have completed the NMAT exam successfully can book a retake slot 15 days after their initial attempt.
  • Unsuccessful Attempts: Those who experienced technical difficulties or other issues, resulting in a "NoShow," "NDA Refused," or "Exam Incomplete" status, can schedule a retake 24 hours after their previous attempt.

The registration fee for the NMAT retake is INR 3,000, which is the same as the regular fee. Candidates will have to pay a separate fee for any subsequent retake attempts.

MBA Admissions through NMAT 2024

Over 50 colleges in India accept NMAT scores for MBA/PGDM admissions. However, several participating institutes, including NMIMS, and KJ Somaiya, only consider the first attempt score. Candidates must review the selection criteria of their desired b-schools before deciding to retake the NMAT exam.

Merely taking the NMAT exam does not guarantee admission to a participating college. Each college conducts its own admission process, and candidates must apply separately to their desired institutions.

Q: Β  Is NMAT registration available throughout the year?

A:
No. Candidates can apply for NMAT exam only within a specified timeline. NMAT registration is typically facilitated in the first week of August. The registration window remains open for a period ranging from 65 days to 90 days. However, candidates are allowed to create an account with GMAC for NMAT exam. Account creation is available for free, throughout the year. Candidates need to pay the NMAT registration fee only after they have filled the application form and are proceeding to schedule the exam attempt.

Q: Β  Is NMAT registration open?

A:

GMAC commences the NMAT registration on August 1. Candidates can visit the official exam website to fill the NMAT application form. NMAT registration for first exam take typically remains open until October 10. Candidates will have to schedule the first take of the NMAT exam until October 12. Since the candidates can appear for the NMAT exam from October 10, the retake registration window will commence from October 11. Candidates who wish to retake the NMAT exam must apply on or after they appear for the first exam attempt.

Q: Β  How many times is NMAT registration window facilitated?

A:
GMAC facilitates NMAT registration window once every year. Registration for the NMAT exam is accepted one time in one exam session. Since candidates can take the test thrice, GMAC facilitates the NMAT retake registration window soon after the exam window starts. For an attempt over and above the regular attempt, candidates have to use the NMAT retake registration window. Besides the NMAT registration and NMAT retake registration, the candidate portal also hosts a scheduling window. This scheduling window helps candidates to choose the exam slot and exam venue. The allotment of exam slot and test centre is done on first-cum-first-serve basis.
