Noida International University, Greater Noida, held a successful orientation program for its MBA first-year students from the School of Business Management on August 22 and 23, 2024. The Genesis 2024-25 program aimed to set the stage for the academic year and offer students crucial insights from industry experts.

The program featured a series of distinguished guest speakers from leading companies. Sachin Sharma, Associate Director at KPMG India, discussed the strategies required for success in the corporate sector. Other notable speakers included Ms. Priti Goel, Founder and CEO of Prisha Wealth Management India; CA Vatsalya Chaturvedi, Vice President of Risk and Control at Barclays Bank; and Anurag Mohan, Learning Portfolio Manager at Nokia. They inspired students with their experiences and encouraged them to explore entrepreneurship.

The event commenced with a ceremonial tribute to Goddess Saraswati, followed by a lamp-lighting ceremony led by the Vice-Chancellor, Dr Uma Bhardwaj. In her address, Dr Bhardwaj highlighted the importance of staying updated with industry trends and maintaining a competitive edge to ensure career success.

Introduction to the School and Industry Insights

Dr Mukesh Parashar, Registrar, and Dr Subhash Kumar Verma, Dean of the School of Business Management, welcomed the students and provided an overview of the department. They emphasized the program’s blend of practical knowledge, industrial visits, and the development of multifaceted skills alongside traditional classroom learning.

Strategic Insights and Future Guidance

On the second day, Ankita Sachdev, Joint Director at BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Shashank Saxena, Research Lead at 13D Research & Strategy, engaged students in thought-provoking discussions. They shared their strategic insights and provided guidance on navigating the ever-evolving business landscape.

The two-day orientation program was a significant step in preparing students for their MBA journey, offering them a solid foundation and valuable industry perspectives. Noida International University continues to emphasize its commitment to providing high-quality education and nurturing the next generation of business leaders.
