CMAT 2024 registration process has been delayed. Will the exam be postponed due to Lok Sabha elections? This is a question that is making a lot of students worried.

CMAT 2024, one of the top national level MBA entrance exams conducted by the NTA has been delayed this year. The exam is usually conducted by April or May and the registrations start in February. This year however, the aspirants are still waiting for the CMAT registrations to start. NTA has not shared any communication related to CMAT 2024, which is leading to speculations whether the exam will be conducted or not this year. Many aspirants have already expressed their concern over the delay as the MBA admissions close by July. Those who had planned to use CMAT 2024 score for admission are rightfully worried.

Will CMAT 2024 be postponed?

Another concern among students is that, since the CMAT 2024 registration dates have not been announced till now, will the exam be held after the Lok Sabha elections. The 18^th Lok Sabha elections will be conducted in 8 phases through April and May. Several exams have been postponed or rescheduled due to the elections.

Shiksha spoke to a CMAT aspirant Manik Kumar who said, “Many aspirants like me are eagerly awaiting the status of CMAT 2024, so that we can decide our course of action. I have appeared for CAT 2023 but didn’t score too well. I wanted to appear for CMAT 2024 for better options in terms of MBA colleges. But now I need to decide whether to wait for CMAT or take admission on the basis of CAT.”

Another aspirant Divyansh said, “I had not appeared for any other MNA entrance exam and was preparing for CMAT 2024 only. Now I am in fix.”

Given the fact that the CMAT events are held over 3-4 months, it is time now that NTA released the CMAT 2024 registration form or announced the status of the exam so that the aspirants can decide upon their next course of action. CMAT 2024 is accepted by over 1300 MBA colleges in India which include some of the top government as well as private institutions with low fees.
