Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Counselling 2023 will commence soon on the official website. Students who have qualified the OJEE 2023 exam can visit the website for counselling registrations once the registration window opens. As per the official website, the OJEE counselling 2023 process will likely begin in the first week of June 2023. The OJEE counselling will be conducted for the BTech, BAMS/BHMS, MBA, MCA, MTech, MPlan, MArch and MPharm courses. Students qualifying the exam can participate in the OJEE counselling round 2023 on the basis of their ranks and schedule. Read the article below to know more.

Who Can Participate in the OJEE Counselling?

As mentioned above, students qualifying the exam can participate in the OJEE counselling rounds 2023 on the basis of their ranks and schedule. Irrespective of their admission status, all the rank holders can participate in the OJEE counselling process. Candidates who wish to participate in BAMS/BHMS counselling must have qualified in NEET(UG) with a valid rank. Candidates who are participating in the OJEE counselling process through JEE Main for BTech courses, their JEE Mains ranks will be given preference for admissions over OJEE scores. 

OJEE Counselling Process 2023

The OJEE counselling is a five-step process as follows:

  • Registration: Candidates can register on the official website of OJEE once the registration window opens. They need to fill in the name of the candidate, application number, date of birth, rank, course, educational qualification etc. to register. After successful registration, they need to pay an application fee of INR 450. 
  • Choice Filling and Option Locking: After the fee payment, candidates can fill in choices from the list of participating colleges for their selected courses and specialisation. They can lock their choices by freezing and waiting for the seat allotment list.
  • Announcement of Seat Allotment: OJEE Board will release a seat allotment list for colleges available based on choice filled by candidates and a merit list/rank list. Candidates can save their seat allotment and visit the counselling centre if they want to secure a seat. 
  • Document Verification: To confirm the selected seats after the OJEE counselling, students need to visit the nodal centre for the document verification process and make part admission fee payment which is INR 10,000/- for the General category and INR 5,000/- for SC/ST/PC categories.
  • Final Admission Confirmation: After document verification, candidates need to report to the allotted colleges and submit documents and pay the remaining admission fee after the final allotment round.
