Anna University conducts TANCET exam every year for state level admission to MBA and MCA courses across Tamil Nadu. Candidates aspiring for MBA/MCA admissions in Tamil Nadu have to fill the TANCET application form and appear for the exam as per the schedule. In the previous exam session, Anna University released the TANCET notification on January 6 with the exam date and registration dates. TANCET application form in the previous exam session was released on January 10. With the last date notified as February 7.
Last year, the TANCET exam was held in the second week of March. Candidates can expect a similar timeline for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (2025). The official website of TANCET exam still hosts details from the previous exam session.
TANCET Eligibility Criteria 2025
Candidates aspiring for admission to MBA and MCA courses through TANCET must have a bachelor's degree. The aggregate score in the bachelor’s level exam must be equal to or greater than 50 per cent for unreserved categories. Whereas, reserved category candidates aspiring for TANCET are marked eligible with the minimum aggregate score of 45 per cent.
Candidates having any of the following academic timeline are eligible for MBA admissions through TANCET:
- 10 + 2 + 3 / 4 /5 years pattern
- 10 + 3 years diploma + 3 years pattern
- 10 + 2 + B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. / B.Pharm.
- 10 + 2 + AMIE
- 10 + 3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE
Besides the TANCET exam, Anna University conducts CEETA PG for admission to MTech and MArch courses. The notification for both TANCET and CEETA PG will be released on the same day. The official website, tancet.annauniv.edu, will host the details for the exam, including the notification, syllabus PDF, eligibility criteria, registration link, admit card download link, and more.

Candidates can expect the schedule for TANCET 2025 to release in the early weeks of January.
