Will Karnataka PGCET 2024 Exam Postpone? Check Complete Details

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) extended the application deadline for the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2024 to June 20th. This comes after technical difficulties with the application process caused problems for many aspirants.

Many applicants faced issues verifying their RD numbers due to problems with Nadakacheri website servers. KEA acknowledged the issue and informed affected candidates that a window for form correction would be available to edit details and upload documents later during the examination process.

Another concern raised by some students was failed fee payments. They reported that the application fee was deducted but the application form was not submitted, preventing them from downloading a printed copy. While some candidates claim the RD number verification issue is resolved as they were able to submit the PGCET form, some applicants are still facing problems.

These difficulties led to worries about a potential shift in the Karnataka PGCET exam date 2024. As of June 17th, KEA received only 34,212 applications, significantly lower than the 69,585 applications received in the previous year. This represents a drop of around 50 per cent. The decrease is likely due to a combination of technical problems and hesitancy among some students in light of the recent chaos in conducting the exams by KEA.

Will Karnataka PGCET Exam 2024 Postpone?

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has not released any notification about changes in the Karnataka PGCET 2024 exam dates. Candidates who contacted KEA regarding the RD number verification issue were assured a form correction window will be available once the Nadakacheri website server problem is resolved. This will allow them to rectify any errors in their RD number.

KEA has scheduled the Karnataka PGCET 2024 exam to be conducted on July 13 and 14.

The RD number is a critical 12-digit code located on caste certificates. It verifies the certificate's authenticity and prevents fraud. Mentioning the RD number in the application form is mandatory for candidates seeking reservation benefits for admissions based on Karnataka PGCET. Some applicants expressed concern about receiving these benefits due to the technical issues.

If required, KEA will announce any changes to the Karnataka PGCET exam dates on the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/. As of now, the exam date for Karnataka PGCET 2024 remains unchanged.
