MCC issues guidelines for NEET PG 2021 Special Round Counselling
NEET PG 2021 Counselling: Medical Counselling Committee has issued guidelines for the Special Round for 146 newly added seats.
Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued a notice for NEET PG 2021 Counselling Special Round for 146 newly added seats.
The official notification reads, "All the Colleges/ Candidates are requested to note the following guidelines for Special Round (for 146 seats) of PG Counselling 2021 which was conducted in compliance to the order of Honβble Supreme Court of India dated 31.03.2022 in W.P (C) No. 174 of 2022 Anjana Chari S N Vs. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) &Ors."
NEET PG 2021 Special Round Guidelines
Following are the guidelines issued by MCC for the Special Round of NEET PG 2021 Counselling:
- The candidates who are allotted seats in the Special Round are required to join their allotted seats by April 7, 2022.
- The seats of Round-2, vacated by the candidates who are allotted seats in Special Round will be included in Mop Up Round of PG Counselling 2021.
- The colleges should take Offline Resignation of Round-2 candidates who have been allotted seats in Special Round and send the scanned copies to MCC on Email Id pgmcconlinereporting@gmail.com.
- The college authorities should return the original documents of such candidates and clear their dues so that they are able to join in Special Round allotted colleges.
MCC had earlier released FAQs related to the Special Round. On its second question which stated that if a candidate is allotted a seat in the Special Round their current seat will be vacated and will be included in Mop up Round, Supreme Court has recently clarified that if a candidate is allotted a seat in Special Round and only if he/she joined the seat in Special Round, the old seat will be lost.
