101 students of MMCH to not get 5 grace marks

As per reports, a total of 101 students of Medinirai Medical College and Hospital (MMCH), Daltonganj, including 99 students of the 2022 batch and two unsuccessful students of the 2021 batch have lost the option of availing the benefits of five grace marks, if needed.
"we are set to hold exams for these 101 medical students in the first week of February," said Dr MK Deepak, the controller of exams in the Nilamber Pitamber University, as reported by TOI.
Thr President of the UGMEB, Aruna V Vanikar, has written a letter to the controller of exams in the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Dindori, Sandeep Sitaram Kadu on January 5, 2024, which stated that, "no grace marks will be provided to any student appearing in any examination conducted after the publication of the regulation dated August 1, 2023."
There shall be no grace marks to be considered for passing in an examination, reads the regulation.
"Internal examiners shall be appointed from the same institution for unitary examination in the same institution. For pooled examinations at one centre, the approved internal examiners from same university may be appointed," it added further.
The undergraduate medical education program is designed with a goal to create an "lndian Medical Graduate" (IMG) possessing requisite knowledge, skills, attitudes, values and responsiveness, so that she or he may function appropriately and effectively as a physician of first contact of the community while being globally relevant. To achieve this, the national and institutional goals for the learner of the Indian Medical Graduate training program are prescribed," added the guidelines.
