AFMC Pune MBBS Admission 2024: MCC Notifies on Additional List for Screening Process; Check Details
AFMC Pune MBBS Admission 2024 will now have an additional list of candidates through the screening process from September 1 onwards owing to a lesser number of student admissions and more medically unfit candidates.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released a notification calling additional candidates for the screening process for AFMC Pune MBBS admission 2024. The admission will be based on National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination for Undergraduate (NEET-UG) scores.
As per the notice, MCC has informed that an additional screening process on September 1 will be conducted for AFMC UG admission 2024 as the number of students reporting is lower and the rate of medically unfit students is comparatively higher.
"It is intimated that the screening process for UG admission commenced on August 27, 2024, at AFMC, Pune. As the number of students who have reported is considerably less and the rate of medically unfit candidates is high, an additional list of candidates has been called for screening from September 1 onwards." Reads the official statement.
Documents Required for Counselling Process
Students have to keep the following documents ready for the counselling process:
- NEET UG Admit Card
- NEET UG 2024 Result
- Class X (10th) Marks Sheet
- Transfer Certificate/School leaving certificate.
- Migration Certificate.
- Proof of Date of birth.
- Aadhar Card
- Any other document as mentioned by MCC.
Further, The authorities have requested to follow updates and updates in the portal.
"Candidates who have registered for AFMC are requested to follow updates and notifications on our website www.afmcdg1d.gov.in. You are requested to update the same on your official website for wide publication and dissemination." The official notification reads further.

The exact numbers of NEET 2024 exam centres was 4,750, for the original exam date of May 5, 2024. The NEET 2024 re-exam was conducted in seven exam centres located in five states across India. The NEET 2024 application process was conducted from February 9, 2024, to March 16, 2024. The last date of application was extended from March 9, by a week. The application and correction windows were reopened in April. While the NEET exam dates were scheduled in September and July a couple of years ago owing to the pandemic situation, it took a toll on the medical admission schedule. To bridge this gap, NTA conducted NEET in May last year. The trend is being continued for NEET 2024 as well.
Q: Β How much time will I get to solve each section of NEET 2025?
Candidates will get 3 hours and 20 minutes to solve the entire question paper of NEET. They can divide the time between the NEET subjects or sections as per their convenience. There is no sectional time limit in the NEET exam pattern. According to the experts, candidates should keep around one hour for each subject and 20 minutes for revision. Candidates must prepare a fool proof time management strategy while taking mock tests. They must follow different approaches and then finalise on the most convenient one.
