Agra BAMS paper exchange: CM Yogi Adityanath ordered probe by Special Task Force
An auto driver was arrested for the alleged BAMS paper exchange case in Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University, and now Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered an investigation by the Special Task Force.
On August 27, 2022, the Acting Vice Chancellor Prof Vinay Kumar Pathak of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University received the complaint that BAMS answer sheets were exchanged after the examinations. Later on an auto driver Devendra Singh was arrested by the UP police.
As per reports, Devendra had taken the copies from St. John's College which were to be taken to the Chhalesar Campus but he instead of Chhalesar Campus went to Moti Katra. After staying there for some time, he reached Agra College. Two bundles were found less in the copies given by Devendra to the agency on the Chhalesar campus.
Vinay Kumar got the information that the BAMS copies of St. John's College get exchanged before reaching the agency. In the initial probe, the activity of the auto driver was found suspicious, as reported by Dainik Jagran.
What happened so far?
Two bundles of copies were recovered from the bushes near the mental hospital. SP City Vikas Kumar, ASP Hariparvat reached Satyanarayan University and caught the auto driver. His interrogation continued till late at night at the Nehru Nagar police post on August 27. During this, many employees of the university and the agency were also called. The mobile of the driver was taken by the police, so that information can be found on with whom he spoke.
UP CM office tweet reads, "#UPCM @myogiadityanath Taking cognizance of the change of copy in the examination of Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) in Agra district, took the entire matter into consideration. @uppstf Instructions have been given to conduct the investigation."
