AIIA hosts delegates of ASEAN countries

All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) hosted an official visit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on July 21. A large group of 15 representatives from ten countries participated in the event and the institute showcased how an integrated approach to health care can be effectively implemented.

The Ministry of Ayush organized a conference at the Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi, with the participation of ASEAN representatives and delegates from India and Southeast Asian countries on July 20, 2023.

Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Nesari said, "AIIA is grateful to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the Ministry of Ayush for allowing AIIA to host the ASEAN representatives. It is a matter of great pride to provide the delegates with a glimpse of the facilities at the institute. The Ministry of Ayush has instructed AIIA to prepare scientific evidence for Ayurveda, and the institute is striving to achieve its objectives."

One of the representatives expressed, "I am impressed with the services provided by the institute. Ayurveda is a holistic system of medicine in India that focuses on balancing the body and mind. It is heartening to see AIIA's efforts to promote Ayurveda."

"AIIA was eternally gratuitous to @moayush for spotting the potential in our institution @AIIA_NDelhi to host the visit of the foreign delegates from @ASEAN. It was an absolute pleasure to be able to shed light on the institution's facilities," tweeted Dr Tanuja.
