AIIMS Bhopal: Brainstorming on Traditional Tribal medicines tomorrow

AIIMS Bhopal is all set for brainstorming on the scope of traditional tribal medicines in Central India tomorrow. The event will provide a platform for the convergence of stakeholders from various parts of the country including experts from academics and administration, INIs, centres of excellence, NGOs, tribal healers and representatives from the tribal community.

Through engaging presentations, interactive panel discussions and experts' insights, the attendees of the event will gain a comprehensive understanding of the diverse issues and practices pertaining to tribal health. This meeting will further define a roadmap to ensure equitable healthcare assessment and culturally sensitive services to the tribal population.

Despite the recent economic growth, health and human development indicators of the scheduled tribes lag behind national averages. To improve access to healthcare and provide state-of-the-art diagnostic therapeutic and preventive measures, a thorough understanding of the local priorities and unmet need is of paramount importance, said the official statement of AIIMS Bhopal.
