AIIMS Bhubaneswar, Utkal University to sign agreement for research in healthcare

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar and Utkal University are all set to sign an agreement for research in healthcare.

While attending the 80th foundation day of Utkal University in Odisha capital on Sunday, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhubaneswar Prof Asutosh Biswas announced that All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Utkal University to conduct research in the healthcare sector.  

Congratulating the university for operating a centre of incubation and innovation Prof Biswas said, “AIIMS-Bhubaneswar will be happy to collaborate with Utkal University to conduct research in areas of medicine and healthcare.” 

The centre of innovation and incubation, e-library and e-laboratory of Utkal University is playing a significant role in sharpening different talents of students and making them self-reliant, he said.

The proposed MoU will go a long way in bringing substantial improvement in healthcare services, he added, as reported by News Room Odisha.

Hailing Utkal University as a ‘temple of learning', he said students from the esteemed university have excelled in many spheres and displayed their extraordinary talents across the globe.

By scaling new heights and achieving success in different sectors, they have also brought glory to their alma mater, he said, adding the university has carved a special place for itself in subjects like history, geography, Sanskrit, and environment.

Science and Technology Secretary Bhaskar Jyoti Sharma was the Chief Speaker at the event. He said the development of talents and character building is also important while acquiring knowledge.
